My name is Hannah Bywater and I am the human being behind this screen. Thank you for being here to share these moments with me. Life is a journey and I am happy to share my experiences with you.

I was introduced to travel at a very young age. I was only 6 months old when my parents took me to Indonesia for the first time. Before they had me they travelled a lot of the world together and started an international trading business, Vested Interest Trading, in my hometown of North Bay, Ontario. When I came into the picture they brought me along on their adventures and passed on the travel bug. For 2 months of every year we would travel to Indonesia and other countries in South East Asia.

My interests to help the planet sprouted when I was 6 years old. It started with an interest to help save sea turtles and has since blossomed into more than I could have ever imagined. I encourage you to read more about how my journey on Hannah's Planet began when you get the chance.

In 2012 my parents business, Vested Interest burned down. The tragedy of the fire had a huge impact on my family and my parents needed to take time to rebuild their business. So, we stopped traveling as frequently as a family. I understood the changes that were happening in our lives but I still wanted to travel. It took some research and persuasion but when I was 13 years old I convinced my parents to allow me to travel with a volunteer organization to Kenya the following summer. That was the first trip I went on without my family and I didn't stop there. 

Here I am a decade later, having travelled and even lived in many different countries around the world. I am not done yet. The best is yet to come.
